Week 2
We wanted to accomplish 2 main things; 1, get the electrical fixed in the garage , and 2, instal the rest of the insulation on the walls of the garage. With the help of Ben's brother in-law, Joe, we were able to fix most of the outlets and light switches. Ben has a torpedo that we use for heat in the 20 degree weather we are working in. I think I spend most of the time standing in front of our heat instead of working, but at least I make the effort.
This weekend we also noticed that the inspector put a lock box on our house so they can go in when we're not there to work on the boiler. We find it funny that they drive all the way out to our house to put a lock box on, but never gave use a code to put the house key in. We waited most of the day for them to come in and take measurements, but they failed to do so. So instead of waiting on them, Ben decided to get our own lock box and put our key in it so they can ask us for a code. Hopefully they can come in during the week to begin the instilation!

Introduction
So, its official, we got our house that we desperately searched and waited for over the last year. It's been a long journey of searching for properties, houses, changing locations, looking for different jobs, calculating routes, and taking breaks from it all, but it has finally come to an end.
Our house sits on 5 acres in Tecumseh, Michigan. It needs work, but is close to liveable now. It's up to us to make this house not just our home, but our dream home. Between this huge project and planning our wedding, we are in for one hell of an adventure. This blog will document the up's, down's, and middle places of our feelings, thoughts, and ideas. For now, here is a picture of our place....
